In 2016 I was going through a very difficult time in my life. I felt lost, afraid and alone, and I knew I had to redirect those feelings into something productive. I’ve always loved dogs but rescue was never really in my forethought. My daughter at the time wanted a puppy and that was the beginning of that journey. I met people that put animals first, and their work was inspiring to me. I knew I wanted to be a part of that in some way.
At the same time I knew, as an actress, I had too much idle time between jobs and/or storylines and if I wanted to stay focused on my positive mental health I had to keep busy. I’ve always loved working with my hands but I never worked with clay before. So I started taking classes at a local studio and one thing led to another!
My three daughters have always been so talented artistically, and I thought acting was my only contribution. What I learned is there is no limit to what we can do or accomplish. There’s no time limit, no artistic limit and no limit to our desire to do more and be more.
As I became more studied in ceramics I found my own voice in my work and realized that I can marry my three passions for good. With acting, ceramics and animal rescue, I have felt fulfilled in my second phase of life and I want to share that with you.
10% of all sales on my site will go to various rescues and animal causes and hopefully my pieces will bring smiles and thoughts to anyone who purchases my work. Thank you for your support of me through my career and I hope you all continue to ride along in my ongoing journey.
